Desiderata (Excerpts).
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story.
Many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
No less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
Keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.

A different take on Capitalism.
Kia-ora
For a new take on economics and for those who have yet to hear Ha-Joon.
It's a good video. I'm looking forward to reading the book. I'm currently reading sections of his book 'Bad Samaritans' and am loving his critical analysis.
Chang's strength is the belief that capitalism is a faulty model but the best we have and so he is willing to critique it to find whatever works best rather than following blind idealism. His fundamental starting point makes him strong - 'there is no such thing as a free market.'
The more people could recognise that, the more we'd be able to actually negotiate what a healthy and thriving nation could look like rather than dividing ourselves along lines of ideology.
